Building Tomorrow's Champions

Empowering Athletes, Transforming Communities

XLR8

XLR8 (Accelerate) is a hybrid high school preparatory program, exclusively for middle school-aged student athletes. Our focus is to develop the necessary habits to get our students    prepared for the workload demanded of elite high schools, while giving them the performance training needed to help each student-athlete excel in their respective sports.

Using a homeschool model, XLR8 students are enrolled in online accredited classes, emphasizing mastery of skills and familiarity with a high school curriculum. USADA staff and volunteers provide in-person academic support and athletic performance/strength training, along with healthy lunch/snack options, life skills, mentorship, and high school prospecting. Our culturally responsive curriculum harnesses the power of sports to enhance academic achievements and foster positive social engagements.

The intentionality of our work has created an incredible platform for San Francisco youth to pursue their scholastic sports journey, providing them with the essential support and resources they need. Aside from being a parent, USADA is the greatest achievement I have accomplished.
